Anthony Marcum is an attorney with Lorandos Joshi, P.C. in Ann Arbor.
A native of Eastern Ohio, he attended Ohio State University where he received a bachelor’s degree in history and political science. He attended law school at Rutgers Law School, where he served as articles editor of the Rutgers Law Review and interned for the Department of Justice and the Chief Justice of the New Jersey Supreme Court.
After law school, Marcum completed federal clerkships in West Virginia and New Hampshire. While clerking, he developed an interest in litigation, and joined Lorandos Joshi last year.
Marcum and his wife, Meredith, live in Ann Arbor.

What advice do you have for someone considering law school? Develop good relationships with professors, and utilize your professional and personal networks.

What is your happiest childhood memory? Taking a road trip with my parents through the province of Ontario, Canada.
What do you wish someone would invent? City wide synchronized stop lights.
What has been your favorite year so far? 2016 – the year I got married.
How do you define success? Looking forward to going to work every day.
Who is on your guest list for the ideal dinner party? My family.
Why did you become a lawyer? I wanted a job that fused my interests in both writing and advocacy.
If you could trade places with someone for a day, who would that be? An NFL football team owner.
What’s the most awe-inspiring place you’ve ever been? The Sistine Chapel.
If you could have one super power, what would it be? The ability to fly.
What would you say to your 16-year-old self? Getting a double bogey is not a big deal.
What do you do to relax? Read and watch Netflix.
What word do you overuse? “Essentially.”
What is one thing you would like to learn to do? I would like to learn another language.
What do you drive? A Ford Escape.
If you can help it, where will you never return? Newark Liberty Airport.
What would you drive if money were no object? An Aston Martin DB5.
