Lisa D. Stern is a family law attorney who represents couples in all areas of domestic relations such as pre-nuptial agreements, divorce and custody cases as well as post judgment proceedings.
A partner at Hertz Schram in Bloomfield Hills, Stern is at the forefront of the emerging issues confronting members of the LGBT community as they navigate the uncharted waters of marriage, second family adoption, divorce and child custody issues.
Her advocacy on behalf of community members led her to be selected to be a member of the Fair Michigan Board.
Stern, a Farmington Hills resident, is a graduate of Michigan State University and Wayne State University Law School.
She is an avid Spartan fan, although she has opened her heart to her husband (a graduate of the University of Michigan) and her son, who is currently a student at U-M.
She remains hopeful that her daughter will follow in her footsteps and attend her alma mater.
