The annual joint luncheon of the Federal Bar Association, Eastern District of Michigan Chapter, and the Historical Society of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 14 at the Historic Westin Book Cadillac Hotel in downtown Detroit.
The program, scheduled to begin at 11:30 a.m., will feature:
• Presentation of the Federal Bar Foundation’s annual Rakow Scholarship Awards to students from each of Michigan’s law schools.
•The Annual Barbara Rom Award for Bankruptcy Excellence.
• Presentation by Danielle McGuire, historian and author of “At the Dark End of the Street: Black Women, Rape and Resistance-a New History of the Civil Rights Movement from Rosa Parks to the Rise of Black Power.”
Cost is $45 for FBA?members, and $60 for non-members.
