Foster Swift attorney David R. Russell, who works in the firm’s Lansing office, has been named co-leader of the firm’s litigation practice group, joining co-leader, Paul J. Millenbach from the Southfield office.
An alumnus of Michigan State University College of Law, Russell’s practice serves a wide-range of client needs, including in the areas of commercial litigation, business law, real estate law, sports and entertainment law and food, hospitality and liquor law.
As the former owner of several successful companies, Russell’s business acumen helps inform his legal counsel. Through his entrepreneurial experience, he gained first-hand knowledge of the legal, strategic and operational challenges – and opportunities – his business clients face.
Named a Michigan Super Lawyers "Rising Star," 2008, 2010-2015, and AV Preeminent Martindale-Hubbell, Russell joined Foster Swift after gaining corporate and commercial litigation experience at two smaller mid-Michigan law firms.
He has taught Business Law at Northwood University for the last several years.
