The Michigan Mortgage Lenders Association, Southeast Chapter, presented a panel luncheon on “Preventing Wire Fraud” on Thursday, May 2, at Maggiano’s Little Italy in Troy. Several local title company experts discussed how wire fraud could financially harm not only the buyer/seller who sends the wire but also the corresponding realtor and/or mortgage lender. Taking part in the program were (left to right) panelist Sarah McMasters of Best Homes Title Agency, panelist Elise Lievois of Devon Title Agency, MMLA Southeast Chapter Vice President Paula Rosneck of Essent Guaranty Inc., MMLA Southeast Chapter President Maureen Townson of Genworth Mortgage Insurance Corp., panelist Julie McKee of Parks Title, and panelist Phil Seaver of Seaver Title Agency.
