Foster Swift was included in the 2020 U.S. News – Best Lawyers “Best Law Firms” list. The firm was rated a Tier 1 law firm in 27 practice areas with the Lansing office receiving 21 Tier 1 ranked practice areas, with four more Tier 1 rankings for their Grand Rapids office and two more for their Southeast Michigan offices.
The U.S. News – Best Lawyers “Best Law Firms” rankings are based on a rigorous evaluation process. The process includes the collection of client and lawyer evaluations, peer review and review of additional information provided by law firms regarding demographic and background information on the firm and its attorneys. To be considered for inclusion on the list, law firms must have at least one lawyer who is included in Best Lawyers in that particular practice area and metro. Foster Swift had 42 lawyers included in the 2020 edition of Best Lawyers.
