The Oakland County Bar Association (OCBA) will present “Common Commercial Real Estate Issues in a Covid-19 World.” This online seminar will take place on Wednesday, May 20, from noon to 1 p.m via Zoom.
Government-mandated closures and other regulations designed to mitigate the effect of COVID-19 have impacted both the residential and commercial real estate landscape. The OCBA’s Real Estate Committee has assembled two panels of experts to provide answers to frequently asked questions from clients whether they are landlords or tenants.
This seminar will address common concerns in the commercial marketplace, including:
• Commercial landlord/tenant disputes and district court operations
• Construction issues, including environmental factors hazardous materials and due diligence
• Receiverships and bankruptcy
• Commercial real estate market, vacancy rates and similarities to the Great Recession
