The State Bar of Michigan recently presented its first virtual Lawyer Trust Account Seminar. The half-day ethics seminar covered everything from how to manage lawyer trust accounts, to how to comply with Michigan Rules of Professional Conduct 1.15 and 1.15A, to how to effectively use forms, checklists, and other recordkeeping resources.
The next virtual Lawyer Trust Account Seminar will be held Tuesday, October 27, from 1 to 4:45 p.m.
Participants will receive practical information as well as materials prepared by the presenters: SBM Professional Responsibility Programs Director Alecia Chandler and Attorney Grievance Commission Senior Associate Counsel Rhonda Pozehl.
The virtual seminar costs $50 for lawyers and $25 for other legal professionals, law students, and unlicensed graduates. To register here by 5 p.m. on October 23, visit www.michbar.org and click on “events.”
