The Muskegon Area District Library’s Morning Zoom Book Club will meet 10:30 to 11:30 a.m., on May 6.
The May book choice is The Vanishing Half by American author Brit Bennett, who weaves together multiple strands and generations of a family, from the Deep South to California, from the 1950s to the 1990s.
The Vanishing Half is a historical fiction novel and Bennett’s second novel, published by Riverhead Books in 2020. It debuted at number one on The New York Times fiction best-seller list. HBO acquired the rights to develop a limited series with Bennett as executive producer.
