Managing Partner Forum conducts 'Virtual' Fall Symposium, Nov. 3
The Managing Partner Forum will present its "Virtual" MPF Fall Symposium titled "Passing the Torch: Guiding Your Law Firm through Succession" on Wednesday, November 3, from 1 to 5 p.m.
After careful deliberation, MPF canceled the in-person version of the symposium, which was originally scheduled for October at the University Club of Chicago. In its place, MPF is pleased to present The "Virtual" MPF Fall Symposium.
The faculty remains intact with a healthy dose of live audience polling questions added to the mix. The sessions will be recorded with plenty of timely and relevant handout materials.
The MPF Fall Symposium is a law firm leadership conference designed especially for managing partners and leaders of smaller and midsize law firms. Compared to The MPF Leadership Conference (the signature event held in Atlanta each May), the Symposium is a smaller, more intimate conference that "drills down" on a specific topic based on feedback and input we gather from firm leaders.
This year, the topic is "succession planning" and MPF will cover a variety of issues associated with this challenging issue. The format is highly interactive, and the faculty consists of both legal industry thought leaders and managing partners who have successfully led their firms through succession and transition.
The symposium is designed for:
- Managing partners and CEOs of law firms in transition
- Founding partners assessing transition options
- Future law firm leaders and COOs
This program is especially relevant for founding partners of first-generation law firms.
Topics to be covered include:
- Firm Valuation Models
- Passing the Firm to Next Generation
- Merger/Acquisition Options
- Selling to Outside Investors
- Discussing Transition with Your Partners
- Communicating the Plan to Others
- Ethical/Risk Management Issues
- Now What? Life after Law
The registration fee is $295 and includes:
- Live Virtual Conference-for up to three persons from your firm
- On-Demand Recording-to listen to the sessions anywhere at anytime
- Survey and Audience Polling Results
- Comprehensive Handout Materials-including articles, checklists and other resources
- 30-Minute Consultation-with selected faculty member of attendee's choice
- Retirement by Design-with Ida Abbott
- Take Your Firm to the Next Level-with August J. Aquila
