Lansing– Attorney James F. Graves is the recipient of the Ingham County Bar Association’s 2021 Thomas E. Brennan Lifetime Achievement Award, granted to lawyers that have made significant and longstanding contribution to the advancement or improvement of the justice system and the betterment of the legal profession in Michigan. The recipient must also have attained professional excellence as demonstrated by accomplishments in the law or service to the profession during their career.
Graves is a Partner at Sinas Dramis Law Firm in Lansing, and practices personal injury law. He has represented cases ranging from complex aviation and nursing home wrongful death claims to survivors of the MSU-Larry Nassar sexual assault case. He has successfully handled hundreds of cases involving auto accidents, semi-truck accidents, and motorcycle accidents throughout Michigan, and in Chicago.
Graves has held various leadership roles within the Michigan legal community, including as past president and board member of the Ingham County Bar Association and the Ingham County Bar Foundation, as well as former officer and board member of the John D. Voelker Foundation.
He is a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates and has been previously honored by Best Lawyers, Leading Lawyers, and Super Lawyers. He is a previous recipient of the Leo A. Farhat Outstanding Attorney Award from the ICBA.
