Virtual support groups available for law students
The State Bar of Michigan is offering a support group specifically for law students. Participants will focus on their overall well-being, including how to cope with the unique stressors of law school. The weekly support group is facilitated by a Clinical Case Manager from the Lawyers and Judges Assistance Program, as part of the State Bar of Michigan.
The virtual support group meets via Zoom from noon to 1 p.m. on Thursdays from January 6 to February 24. This is an open group, so participants can attend any or all the meetings with no obligation for continued participation. The cost is $2 per session or $10 for all eight weeks, if paid in advance.
To register for any of the groups, emailâ?¯contactLJAP@michbar.org or call 800-996-5522. The Zoom link will be provided after registration is confirmed. Participants must be willing to respect confidentiality, present with an open mind, be tolerant of others' views, and be willing to explore the importance of lawyer well-being.
