Experts to discuss reproductive health, abortion services and infertility at ABA webinar

Experts participating in the American Bar Association Reproductive Health and Assisted Reproductive Technology Access webinar will address access to reproductive health and assisted reproductive technology (ART) for diverse communities, and the financial hurdles for access to abortion services and reproductive technology for LGBTQ+ families. The webinar is part of the “50th Anniversary of Title IX Webinar Series,” which includes two other programs.

“Reproductive Health and Assisted Reproductive Technology Access,” sponsored jointly by the  Section of Civil Rights and Social Justice, Commission on Women in the Profession and Commission on Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity and co-sponsored by the ABA Section of Family Law and Commission on Disability Rights, will take place online Wednesday, June 8, from 12:30 to 2 p.m.

Panelists for the free, non-CLE webinar include attorney Desireé S. Luckey, director of policy at URGE; Cathy Sakimura, deputy director and family law director at the National Center for Lesbian Rights; Robyn Powell, senior research associate at the Lurie Institute for Disability Policy; and Amira Hasenbush, founder of All Family Legal will moderate the discussion.

The second webinar in the series, “Transgender Athletes in Competitive Sports,” will be Friday, July 8, from 1 to 2:30 p.m.  The third program is “Title IX’s 50th Anniversary: Where We’ve Been, Where We Are, and Where We Need to Be,” a live Showcase event at the ABA Annual Meeting in Chicago on Saturday, August 6, from 9 to 10:30 a.m.
