The State Bar of Michigan Debtor-Creditor Rights Committee and the Bankruptcy Committee of the Federal Bar Association, Eastern District of Michigan Chapter, will present a webinar on “The New Michigan Uniform Assignment of Rents Act” Tuesday, August 23, from noon to 1:30 p.m. via Zoom.
The Michigan Uniform Assignment of Rents Act (“MUARA”) was signed into law by Governor Gretchen Whitmer on June 24, 2022. The MUARA becomes effective on September 22, 2022. The MUARA dramatically changes the law governing assignments of rents in Michigan. This free Zoom webinar will review the MUARA and will include a practical discussion of the impact of the legislation.
