Wednesday, a Detroit woman was arraigned in connection with a shooting of her baby’s father’s pregnant girlfriend in Centerline.
Shantonya Chardonay Williamson is charged with Assault with Intent to Murder (life felony) and child abuse 4th degree (1 year misdemeanor.)
“I am grateful the Detroit Police Department and the Centerline Police Department were able to work together and investigate this matter so quickly,” said Macomb County Prosecutor Peter J. Lucido.
Centerline District Court Judge Chupa set bond for the defendant at $750,000 cash/surety. Upon release the defendant is to have no contact with the victim, no contact with a firearm, and have a steel GPS tether.
The Probable Cause Conference is scheduled for Wednesday, March 1 at 8:45 a.m. and the Preliminary Exam is scheduled for Wednesday, March 8, at 8:45 a.m. before Judge Chmura in Centerline District Court.
