President honored

The Wolverine Bar Association hosted its 2023 President’s Dinner on Thursday, June 22, at the Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History in Detroit. The event celebrated a successful bar year led by President Allen W. Venable (right). This year’s keynote speaker was Michigan Supreme Court Justice Kyra Harris Bolden (center), the first African American woman on the Michigan Supreme Court. The dinner also featured State Bar of Michigan President James W. Heath (left) with remarks on the SBM’s efforts on diversity and inclusion.
