The Hispanic Bar Association of Michigan (HBAM) will present an online “Pro Bono Opportunities Lunch and Learn” on Tuesday, September 26, from noon to 1 p.m. via Teams.
The State Bar of Michigan has adopted the Voluntary Pro Bono Standard stating that all active members of the State Bar should participate in direct delivery of pro bono legal services to the economically disadvantaged.
Three panelists presented by HBAM?will discuss their respective organizations and how lawyers in the community can help those in the most need. The panelists include:
• Ruby Robinson, managing attorney, Michigan Immigrant Rights Center.
• Angela Reyes, co-founder and board chair, Detroit Hispanic Development Center.
• Mary Carmen Muñoz, executive director, La Sed (Latin Americans for Social and Economic Development).
