In honor of Black History Month, the D. Augustus Straker Bar Association, Wolverine Bar Association, and Black Women Lawyers Association of Michigan will present an online fireside chat about preserving a seat for diversity. “The Erosion of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion” will take place on Thursday, February 29, beginning at 5:30 p.m. via Zoom.
Speaking at the chat will be State Bar of Michigan Past President James Heath, University of Detroit Mercy School of Law Dean Jelani Jefferson Exum, former DEI Commission co-chair Cynthia Stephens, Detroit Mercy Law 2L Stephanie Thomas, and moderator Zenell Brown.
