Candidates interested in running for the State bar of Michigan’s Judicial Tenure Commission, Representative Assembly, Board of Commissioners, or Young Lawyers Section Executive Council must submit their nominating petitions no later than April 30.
Nominating petitions are available online here. The full State Bar of Michigan 2024 Election Notice, which details vacancies and petition requirements, can be found in the March issue of the Michigan Bar Journal .
Petitions should be submitted via email to csharlow@michbar.org.
To vote in the 2024 election, all active members of the State Bar of Michigan will receive their ballots via email by June 1 and ballots must be cast online by 11:59 p.m. June 17. To ensure receipt of a ballot and notifications about the election, SBM members should make sure their current email address is on file at michbar.org/MemberArea.
