The Michigan Judicial Institute and Child Welfare and Juvenile Justice Services will present a webinar on “SCAO Juvenile Justice Screening and Assessment Data Tracking Tools & Recommendations” Friday, December 6, from noon to 1 p.m. via Zoom.
The State Court Administrative Office (SCAO) has developed optional data collection spreadsheet templates for courts to use to ensure compliance with the new juvenile screening and assessment requirements.
In this webinar, Kaj Althaus, Statistical Research, SCAO, will provide an overview and will discuss with viewers:
• The purpose and functionality of collecting and tracking the data with the optional templates.
• How courts can use data collection practices to remain in compliance.
• Useful information for courts new to tracking screening and assessment data, including examples and best practices.
The intended audience for the webinar includes courts receiving the basic grant, juvenile court staff such as administrators, supervisors, probation officers, and any staff who administer any of the juvenile screening and/or assessment tools.
