Suspect Arrested in Two Break-ins

A 41-year-old Zeeland man has been charged with breaking into two downtown businesses last week.

Jeremy Andrew Butler is facing two felony counts of breaking and entering in connection with the incidents that took place in the early-morning hours of Jan. 7 at the Zeeland Bakery and Frank’s Restaurant on Main Avenue. Butler was arrested after an investigation by Zeeland Police led to the execution of multiple search warrants, Lt. Kevin Cisler said in a news release.

Butler was arraigned on Jan. 8 in 58th District Court in Holland. He is scheduled to appear for a probable cause hearing on Jan. 22 and a preliminary hearing Jan. 29 in District Court before Judge Bradley Knoll, according to court records.

Butler is currently free on a $10,000 bond.
