Business damaged after vehicle crash

A two-vehicle accident caused one of the vehicles to strike the Coffee Klutch building at the intersection of East Michigan and East Battle Creek Street in the City of Galesburg January 23.

According to the Kalamazoo County Sheriff’s Department, the initial investigation reveals apparently a 20-year-old driver failed to yield for another motorist, striking the other vehicle and causing it to strike the local business.

The Climax Crescent reached out to the Coffee Klutch but no one was available to provide an estimate of the damage or when the local business plans to re-open, however the Coffee Klutch
Facebook page notes the owner will post when the business plans to open again.

No injuries were reported by either driver and there were no injuries inside the impacted building.

The Kalamazoo County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Galesburg-Charleston Township Fire Department, Life EMS Ambulance, MDOT & McDonald’s Towing.
