After losing to St. Louis 39-26 in last year’s Division 4 quarterfinals, the Climax-Scotts-Martin co-op wrestling team got its chance for a rematch by defeating Union City 47-28 in the Division 4 team quarterfinals match at Wings Event Center February 28.
In the other quarterfinals matches, No. 1 seed Hudson defeated Roscommon 75-3, Clinton defeated Otisville LakeVille Memorial 42-25, and St. Louis defeated Charlevoix 65-9.
“Grappler had us winning that dual (against Union City) by one. The weight class they drew to start was a good spot for us to get going. We started getting sixes and kept it on rolling all the way through.
The guys wrestled tough,” said C-S coach Mike Reitz.
Union City finishes with a 26-5 record.
