Chili Cook-Off champ crowned
The Macomb County Bar Association (MCBA) recently hosted a Chili Cook-Off, inviting area attorneys to either enter the contest with their own special recipe or “be a taster and leave with a full belly.’ Carmen DeFranco (center), a Macomb County assistant prosecutor, was the winner of the event, held at the Discovery Center in Mt. Clemens. DeFranco is pictured with (left to right): Joe Pernicano, a member of the board of directors of the MCBA’s Young Lawyers Section; Dana Freers, MCBA president; Brandon Bennage; Tanya Grillo, a member of the Macomb County Bar Foundation board of directors; Sherriee Detzler, MCBA secretary; Macomb County Circuit Court Judge Anthony Servitto; Probate Court Judge Aaron Hall; and Erin Freers-Cole, MCBA treasurer.
