Joseph LaBella
Joseph La Bella died March 5 at the age of 69. He was born on March 30, 1955, in Bay City, Michigan, the son of Joseph and Mary La Bella.
From an early age, La Bella was a performer, captivating audiences in local theatre productions. His passion for the arts led him to teach English and drama and coach football in Ohio, where he touched the lives of countless students. Later, La Bella shifted his focus to law, earning his law degree from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law.
La Bella was the vice president, director of contracts for Jack Morton Worldwide, the promotional and marketing agency of record for General Motors.
La Bella’s dedication to his passions extended beyond his family and career, as he performed in the Habeas Chorus Line for more than 30 years, enriching the community with his talent and enthusiasm.
La Bella is survived by his wife, Patty, his sons, Michael and Jack, his daughter-in-law Allison, his brother Robert, cousins, nieces, and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Joseph and Mary, and his son Joey.
A funeral mass will be held on Saturday, April 12, at 11 a.m. at Gesu Catholic Church in Detroit.
