Connors to receive lifetime judicial excellence awards

Members of the legal community are invited to recognize, honor and celebrate Judge Timothy Connor’s legacy of judicial excellence in a ceremony from 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, April 24, at the Washtenaw County Circuit Court, 101 E. Huron, Ann Arbor.

The celebration will be held in the courtroom of Chief Judge Patrick Conlin, with an informal reception to follow.

Connors, who retired at the end of last year, will receive several lifetime judicial excellence awards: from the State Bar of Michigan Negligence Law Section, the Washtenaw County Bar Association, the Washtenaw Association for Justice, and the University of Michigan Law School students.

Speakers will include Supreme Court Chief Justice Megan Cavanagh, State Bar President Joseph McGill, Washtenaw Chief Judge Patrick Conlin, and University of Michigan Regent Michael Behm.

Connors also will be honored with a judicial excellence award by the Michigan Association for Justice at a May 10 banquet in Detroit.
