Sunset Cruise to raise funds
for WMS is set June 17


Help raise funds for the West Michigan Symphony learning and community initiatives with this two-hour private party cruise.

Mix and mingle with WMS musicians and fans while enjoying the natural beauty of West Michigan. Includes cash bar, live musical entertainment from Legal Rehab and small bites, catered by The Hearthstone Bistro.

The cruise is set 8 to 10 p.m., June 17. Tickets are $75.

Book Club set June 17


The North Muskegon Branch of the Muskegon Area District Library will host Book Club from 6 to 7 p.m., Thursday, June 17.

The June book choice is “Ordinary Grace,” by author William Kent Krueger.

The book synopsis includes this: Looking back at a tragic event that occurred during his thirteenth year, Frank Drum explores how a complicated web of secrets, adultery and betrayal shattered his Methodist family and their small 1961 Minnesota community.

The July book is “The Keeper of Hidden Books,” by Madeline Martin; and the August book is “The Art Thief,” by Michael Finkel.


‘Julia Child: A Recipe for Life’


This exhibition of an American icon will be held at the Muskegon Museum of Art from through September 1.

Attendees will step into a replica of Child’s famous TV set; experience the sights and sounds of her kitchen and explore an amazing interactive exhibition of her legacy.

Admission to see Julia Child: A Recipe for Life is an $8 upcharge from general admission.
