Zeelmania – the free, family-friendly summer street fair in downtown Zeeland – will return next week.
Monday night at 6 p.m., Zeelmania kicks off with a “beach bash” theme that includes the annual color explosion at the corner of Main Avenue and Church Street. Everyone is encouraged to wear white and dress in something that can get dirty.
Patterned after the popular Color Run races, the color explosion will use nontoxic color powder that will not stain.
Other happenings for the opening night of Zeelmania include live music, face painting, inflatables, a petting zoo and food trucks.
Zeelmania will continue every Monday night in July from 6 to 8 p.m. Upcoming highlights include:
July 14: Camp Zeelmania
The camping experience comes downtown. Challenge your ability on mega-inflatables, give archery a shot, roast marshmallows and eat ice cream.
July 21: Heroes Night
Celebrate the community’s local heroes with games, prizes and unforgettable adventures, honoring those who serve our community every day.
July 28: Sports Mania
Show off your team spirit by wearing your favorite sports jersey or apparel, and take some fun photos with your friends and family in matching gear. There will be special guest mascot appearances, and activities include basketball and giant soccer.
