Warren juvenile arraigned as an adult on charges including assault with intent to murder

Prosecutor Peter Lucido announced Friday that Joshua Dismuke, a 17-year-old Warren juvenile, was arraigned as an adult on multiple charges including assault with intent to murder related to a shooting that took place last month in Eastpointe.

It is alleged that Dismuke shot a young man at a residence where Dismuke and other individuals gathered to make a music video. After the shooting, Dismuke and others fled the scene.
An arraignment was held last Thursday in 38th District Court in Eastpointe and bond was set at one-million dollars cash.

A probable cause hearing is scheduled for Aug. 12.

"While the defendant is a juvenile, the charges, particularly assault with intent to murder, are extremely serious, and the decision to charge him as an adult reflects the gravity of the offense,” Lucido said.
