Calhoun County will hold two free scrap tire collection events this fall. During the month of September, the first collection will be held in Marshall. To ensure event efficiency, the Marshall collection will require pre-registration. A second collection event will be held in Tekonsha in October.
These events accept residential materials from individuals who reside in Calhoun County. They are funded through an EGLE Scrap Tire Grant and are limited to passenger vehicle tires with or without rims. Commercial business and farm tires are not accepted. Participants for both events must reside in Calhoun County and may only bring 10 scrap tires per vehicle to the collection events. Participants are asked to remain in their vehicles.
To pre-register for the Marshall tire collection, residents should complete this online form, arcg.is/05Pim, or call the Community Development Office at 269-969-6395.
