Attorneys reminded to update contact info

As license renewal time approaches, the State Bar of Michigan is reminding attorneys to make sure their contact information is up to date to ensure that they receive renewal notices and that they properly adhere to membership rules.

License renewal begins annually in September. Michigan attorneys are required to keep their current name, mailing address, and email address on file with the State Bar of Michigan. (SBR 2)

Member contact and profile information can be updated at any time by logging in at michbar.org/MemberArea. Members can click "Manage address, profile, preferences, upload photo, and passwords" to check and/or edit information.

Attorneys now also have the option of updating their demographic information through their profiles. Demographic information is not publicly displayed; it is for internal use and demographic reporting.
