Symposium explores ‘Anti-Sexual Violence Legal Movements’

Wayne State University Law School will present a symposium on “Assessing the Last Decade(s) of Anti-Sexual Violence Legal Movements” Friday, September 26, from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. in DJK 2242 at the law school, 471 W. Palmer Ave. in Detroit.

The symposium brings together legal scholars from around the country to speak on four panels examining the law connected to and intertwined with movements seeking to combat several different but related types of sexual violence, including: sexual harassment in workplaces and schools; sex trafficking; sexual violence in the criminal legal system; and backlash to anti-sexual violence movements.

Breakfast and lunch will be provided. To register, visit https://law.wayne.edu and scroll down to “events.” Anyone with questions may email symposium_editor@wayne.edu.
