A preliminary exam is scheduled on Thursday, Oct. 2, at 9 a.m. for Armand David Saroli at the 41A District Court in Sterling Heights before Judge Annemarie M. Lepore. Saroli is charged with bank robbery, a felony punishable up to life or any number of years. He also has a Habitual Offender - Fourth Offense Notice.
It is alleged that Saroli entered a bank located in Sterling Heights on July 23 and approached a teller. Saroli then presented a note to the teller demanding money. The teller gave Saroli the money demanded, and then Saroli fled the bank. He was later captured by the police.
Saroli is held at the Macomb County Jail with $750,000 cash/surety bond.
