A Ram-Jam event from 4:30-5:30 p.m. at Galesburg-Augusta’s Maskill Field September 5 will kick off an evening filled with activities.

The Ram Jam will feature hot dogs and pop, a bounce house, 2025-2026 Ram merchandise, and more.

The Coach Bill Maskill statue will be unveiled at 6 p.m. G-A Superintendent of Schools Dr. Lindsey Newton will unveil the statue that will be covered with a school colored blanket.

Longtime G-A statistician Dale Martin will tell the story behind the statue and the players that are a part of the statue. Members of the Maskill family will add their thoughts.

The 1-0 G-A football team will then clash with Plainwell at 7 p.m.

Former players who played for Coach Maskill will be recognized in between the first and second quarters by the decade they played for the Hall of Fame G-A coach. With four minutes remaining in the second quarter, former players will meet by the Maskill Statue and walk onto the track for recognition.
