Law school to present Constitution Day Program

The University of Detroit Mercy Law School of Law will conduct its 2025 Constitution Day Program on Thursday, September 11, from 1 to 2 p.m. in Room 226 on campus, 651 East Jefferson Avenue in Detroit.

This year’s program will feature Nathan Goetting, author of “The Supreme Court’s Actual Innocence Problem: How the Supreme Court of the United States Has Failed to Reduce Wrongful Convictions.”

In recognition of Constitution Day, Goetting analyzes recent U.S. Supreme Court rulings in all of the areas of constitutional criminal procedure, which wrongful convictions scholars generally agree are most flawed in ways that lead to wrongful convictions.
