The Jackson Fire Department invites the community to its countywide Fire & EMS Open House, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Saturday, October 4, at Station #1, 518 N. Jackson Street.
This free, family-friendly event provides the chance to explore fire trucks, ambulances, and equipment used in real-life emergencies. Demonstrations will include vehicle extrication, rope rescue, hazardous materials response, and drone operations, and a Survival Flight helicopter landing on site (weather permitting).
Children can enjoy interactive activities, fire safety lessons, and games, while families can ask questions, take pictures, and get up close with the tools and technology firefighters and EMS professionals rely on every day.
Attendees can enjoy giveaways, refreshments, and opportunities to connect with firefighters, paramedics, and other emergency responders.
