Representing domestic violence victims discussed

The Oakland County Bar Association will present “Domestic Violence Awareness: Representing Clients — Being Trauma Informed” as a webinar on Tuesday, October 14, from noon to 1 p.m. via Zoom.

This online program will equip attorneys with the tools to better recognize and support survivors of domestic violence.  Attendees will receive:

• Insightful Training: Learn how law enforcement uses danger assessments—and how this can help you identify when a client may be a survivor.

• Practical Tips: Gain actionable strategies for working with survivors in a compassionate, trauma-informed way.

• Live Q&A: Get questions answered by experts in the field. 

Speaking at the webinar will be Tanya A. Grillo of Grillo Law PLLC and Jennifer C. Smith of Brimstone Law PLLC.

Credit has been approved with the OCBA for 1 Criminal credit and 1 Juvenile credit. 

Cost for the webinar is $12 for OCBA members pre-registration and $25 for non-members pre-registration. MIDC attorneys taking adult criminal appointments in Oakland County can attend for free.
