COUNSELOR’S CORNER: Love moments

This past weekend I attended a wedding in Wisconsin of my grandniece, my brother and sister- in- laws loving grandchild. It was also like a family reunion. I went with my daughter, son in law and their four beautiful daughters. This was such a beautiful, loving wedding.  And I am sure it was very expensive. Probably one of the most beautiful weddings I have ever attended in my life. But what was most inspiring was the Love in the room. In this beautiful hotel, Love was everywhere. The bride and the groom were so loving and caring with everyone and were an inspiring example of love.  I met so many kind and loving people the night before and so many kind and loving people at the wedding and the inspiring and uplifting dinner and wedding celebration which lasted the whole evening. I was able to talk with so many kind relatives and met so many kind and loving women and men. The air was filled with Love. The speeches were so inspiring and uplifting. I have never been at such a long celebration before and each moment was so filled with Love. The tribute given to Lindsey’s dad, Greg, my nephew, and Lindsey’s mom, Mary was so inspiring and uplifting. I wanted  to stand and yell, Yaay.

And my grand niece and her husband were the perfect combination of Love and Kindness: humble, gentle, loving and kind.  This whole evening seemed to be filled with humble, gentle, kind and loving people. And it was so good to be with my only sibling and his wonderful wife of 58 years and my first cousin and his wonderful wife. I wish I could write a loving history of all my relatives and all the people at this very large and majestic wedding celebration. The beauty and grandeur of Love was everywhere. I think everyone’s heart was touched by Love this past Thursday and Friday evening.

Life is truly meant to be all about Love. Each moment of Life is meant to be a God moment of Love. I certainly experienced this profoundly this past weekend. It was like only kind words of Love and kind thoughts and actions of Love surrounded all the people in this magnificent wedding celebration.  And such a loving tribute was given to the parents of the bride and the groom. My eyes were  filled with tears of Love.  As I write this article, I keep experiencing this beautiful and inspiring gathering of Love. And my brother gave such an inspiring talk on Love as he sat in a chair that was given to him by our grandparents over so many years ago and he had rocked his grandchildren in this chair when they were very young.  Yes, this evening was filled with so many love moments.

Life is meant to be one continual and consistent love moment.  God is always loving us in each moment of life.  And we are to be loving in each moment and to see love and experience the presence of love everywhere.  This wedding celebration of my wise, kind and loving grand-niece, Lindsey and her kind, loving wise and gentle husband, Brett, was such an inspiration to all of us.  This was a night  that brought me and I think everyone  at this celebration, to realize that life should always be a love-moment. I certainly will realize this more and more and I am so grateful that I could be there for this inspiring and uplifting celebration of Love. It was a God-Filled evening of Love.
