The Michigan Judicial Institute (MJI) is pleased to offer a webinar designed for family division referees. The “Family Division Referees Webinar” will be presented Tuesday and Wednesday, October 21-22, beginning at 9 a.m. each day.
Each session will qualify towards Mandatory Continued Judicial Education Credit (MCJE) in the areas of Judicial Practice (JP), or Integrity and Demeanor (ID) as identified by Mich CJE R 2(E) and (L). In order to track participation for MCJE, participants must register for each session separately.
The Tuesday, October 21, domestic relations division sessions include:
• Statutory, Court Rule, and Caselaw Update
• Artificial Intelligence and the Courts
• Maintaining Your Own Mental Health
• Procedural Justice
The Wednesday, October 22, juvenile division sessions include:
• Statutory, Court Rule, and Caselaw Update
• Supporting Quality Time for Children in Out-of-Home Care: The Jurist’s Role
• Trauma-Informed Decision-Making
• Impact of Juvenile Justice Implementation
