Morning Book Club

The Morning Book Club will meet 10:30 to 11:30 a.m.,  Thursday, November 6, at the Norton Shores Branch.

Gather and discuss the book of the month with fellow book lovers. Copies of the monthly selection are available at the library. New participants are always welcome!

The November book choice is  “The Woman They Could Not Silence.” by Kate Moore.

WMS presents a
Night of Fan Favorites


The West Michigan Symphony presents a night of fan favorites, at 7 p.m., Friday, November 14, in the Frauenthal Center. 

Experience Rossini’s “Lone Ranger” theme, Dvorák Symphony No. 9 “From the New World” and Rachmaninoff’s  Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini. 

The orchestra features pianist Charlie Albright and conductor Scott Speck.

Art Exhibition runs
through November 19


The 96th Michigan Contemporary Art Exhibition continues a rich legacy of showcasing the work of Michigan artists. 

A competitive show, the Michigan Contemporary presents painting, printmaking, drawing, sculpture, ceramics, textiles, jewelry, and installation.

The juror is Ayana Ross, who holds a Master of Arts degree in Painting from Savannah College of Art and Design (2021) and a Master of Arts degree in Liberal Arts from University of North Carolina-Greensboro.
