Oakland County executive praises Board of Commissioners for introducing resolution to strengthen ethics and transparency

Oakland County Executive Dave Coulter commends the Oakland County Board of Commissioners for introducing a resolution to establish a financial disclosure policy for Oakland County elected officials and senior appointed employees. Board Chairman David T. Woodward introduced a resolution last Thursday night during the full board meeting.

“I applaud Chairman Woodward and the Board of Commissioners for taking this important step, which I believe will help advance transparency and public confidence. I look forward to working with the board in the coming weeks to finalize this and other measures to strengthen the county’s ethics policies. I am confident that all of us, as county leaders, take that responsibility seriously. Holding public office is a public trust, and we’re committed to acting in the best interests of the people we serve.”

The commissioners referred the resolution without objection to the Legislative Affairs and Government Operations Committee.
