Women’s Bar hosts ‘Table for Eight’ event January 26

The Women’s Bar Association, Oakland County region of the Women Lawyers Association of Michigan, will host its signature event, “Table for Eight,” on Monday, January 26, at 6 p.m. at Madam, 298 S Old Woodward Ave. in Birmingham. The evening of great food and conversation will feature special guest Nichole Hunter of The Allen Law Group.

Hunter has developed a diverse legal practice with core expertise in corporate transactions, commercial real estate development, compliance and ethics, internal investigations, construction, and regulatory management.  She initially focused her practice on education and public administration, where she served as legal counsel to several school districts and charter schools. Her practice further expanded when she played a role in establishing a nonprofit corporation that assumed all the public health services from the City of Detroit's Department of Health and Wellness Promotion.

A certified mediator, Hunter has provided mediation services to several nonprofit organizations, including the Wayne Mediation Center and Community Legal Resources, where she has successfully resolved disputes across a range of industries.

Hunter received the Barristers President’s Award from the Detroit Metropolitan Bar Association Barristers. She is a graduate of the Detroit Regional Chamber’s Leadership Detroit Class XXXV, a program recognizing emerging and established leaders tackling key regional issues.

The ticket for the event will cover the attendee’s cost of the event, including appetizers, a salad course, an entree, and one drink.  Space is limited.  Deadline for registration is January 22.  To register, visit https://womenlawyers.org and click on “events.”
