Communities across the U.S. are exploring alternative construction methods to meet a growing demand for efficient, high quality, and cost predictable structures. Prefabricated steel solutions—such as shipping containers, modular building systems, and panelized assemblies—are increasingly discussed but often misunderstood in terms of viability, design flexibility, and code compliance.
Speaking at the program will be Leslie Horn, founder and CEO, Three Squared Architecture, Detroit; and Breck Crandell, director of design and lead architect, Three Squared Architecture.
Horn and Crandell are nationally recognized for their built work and expertise in prefabricated construction methods. They will break down the pros and cons of container based, modular and panelized systems and highlight how these construction methods intersect with local planning, zoning, and permitting processes.
