Associations to discuss ‘Anxiety at Work’

The Women’s Bar Association (WBA), Oakland County region of the Women Lawyers Association of Michigan, will present its next Literary Ladies Book Club by teaming up with the Work Life Balance Section of the Detroit Bar Association (DBA) to explore insights from “Anxiety at Work” by Adrian Gostick and Chester Elton on Thursday, January 15, from 5 to 6:30 p.m. at Mojave Cantina, 48 W. 14 Mile Rd. in Clawson.

This joint session will feature an open discussion on building a healthier legal workplace—one where high expectations and genuine humanity can thrive together.  In today’s legal world, anxiety is no stranger to anyone — associates, partners, or staff.  “Anxiety at Work” offers eight practical strategies to help teams and leaders to:

• Build resilience and trust
• Handle uncertainty and heavy workloads
• Foster real psychological safety
• Keep performance and well-being in balance

Cost for the event is $20 for WBA and DBA members and $35 non-members. Registration includes margaritas, sangria, soda and appetizers.  To register, visit https://womenlawyers.org and click on “events.” Anyone with questions about registration may email slawkillinger@detroitlawyer.org.
