The Michigan Judicial Institute will present “PSC Best Practice Series: Incentives, Sanctions, and Service Adjustments Webinar” hosted by Problem-Solving Courts (PSC) on Thursday, January 22, from 11 a.m. to noon via Zoom.
This session outlines the basic behavior modification principles and their applicability in delivering incentives and sanctions in treatment courts. The presenter will discuss the importance of incentives and their application in the program, explain that infractions of distal goals should receive service adjustments rather than sanctions until participants have developed the requisite skills and resources needed to accomplish these goals, and that service adjustments are utilized in response to infractions of managed goals.
