Mike
Woodard and his family are pictured during the G-A Athletic Hall Of
Fame Ceremony January 10 at G-A High School. Mike is a 1988 G-A
graduate. He became a full time teacher at G-A in 1995, the same year he
took over the duties as head varsity basketball coach and athletic
director.
Pictured
above are family members of the late Byron Cox, the long time “voice of
the Rams” announcer. Cox, a 1948 graduate of Galesburg High School,
announced every varsity, junior varsity and junior high home football
games from 1975-2005.

above are representatives from the 1985 G-A football team. The 1985
football team were KVA champions and the eighth and last G-A team to
finish the regular season undefeated. The team was the third Ram squad
to qualify for the state playoffs, winning the first round, 21-6 over
Hudson for G-A’s first ever playoff win, making them the first G-A team
to record 10 wins in a season. The team lost to Lansing Catholic 23-0 in
the second round of the playoffs.
