‘Inclusive Legal Workplaces Amid Polarization’ discussed Feb. 17

The Oakland County Bar Association will present a professional development webinar on “Bridging Divides: Maintaining Inclusive Legal Workplaces Amid Polarization” Tuesday, February 17, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. via Zoom.

Communication serves as a cornerstone in the practice of law. Currently, it seems that the ability to communicate is jeopardized by heightened polarization among friends, family, colleagues, clients, and the community. How do we break through the static and see one another so that we may have a conversation?

This webinar will feature a conversation with Creadell Webb, chief diversity, equity, and inclusion officer for the First Judicial District of Pennsylvania, and Zenell Brown, fairness and accountability administrator for the Michigan Supreme Court’s State Court Administrative Office, discussing strategies on how to bridge the divides that threaten our workspaces and public trust and confidence in the profession. Richard Lynch, Court Administrator for the Sixth Judicial Circuit of Michigan, will host the conversation.

Through the course of the evening, the experts will share real-world examples, best practices, and action items to help lead and collaborate more effectively.

Cost for the webinar is $30 for OCBA?members; $20 for committee members; $20 for OCBA new lawyers and paralegals; $10 for OCBA students; and $45 for non-members.
