Face off raises funds
A hockey team from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law took the measure of a squad from Wayne State University Law School in the inaugural Woodward Classic event at Clark Park in Detroit on January 20. Sparking the 4-2 win for the Titans were goal scorers Hans Leisman, Jonathan Rosenfield, Sean Asam, and Alec Evans. Adding even more luster to the event was the fact that the game helped raise more than $5,000 for the Michigan State Bar Foundation Access to Justice Campaign, according to Detroit Mercy Law student Luca Quenneville. Striking a winning pose in the photo were (front row, left to right) Solana Bryson, Maddy Wiggins, Isabella Van Oirschot, goalie Alex Guzdizol, Samuel Palmeter, and Hans Leisman; alsong with (back row, left to right) Coach Tom Costello, Jonathan Rosenfeld, Benjamin Pratt, Nathan Grewe, Sean Asam, Luca Quenneville, Alex Evans, Nick Elwell, Branden Dalia, Mustafa Nahhas, Brandon Matelic, Jordan Shear, and Michael Spiegel.
