Foster Swift elects Executive Committee officers for 2026

Foster Swift Collins & Smith, PC announced its Executive Committee officers for 2026. The Executive Committee elected the following officers at its first meeting of the year: 

Andrew C. Vredenburg — President; Laura J. Genovich — Vice President, Grand Rapids; Anna K. Gibson — Secretary; Warren H. Krueger — Vice President, Lansing; Ray H. Littleton — Vice President, Southfield; Nicholas M. Oertel — Treasurer
Vredenburg previously Vice President of the Grand Rapids office, is now President. He also previously served as the Commercial Litigation Practice Group leader. 

This year’s election welcomes Genovich as a new member of the Executive Committee. She will serve as Vice President of the Grand Rapids office and currently oversees the Mentoring Committee as well as serving on the Recruiting Committee. 
Gibson, Krueger, Littleton and Oertel will continue their respective Executive Committee roles and responsibilities.  

In additional news, the firm named these attorneys as practice leaders: Alaina M. Nelson for the Trusts & Estates practice group and Michael C. Zahrt as co-Leader of the Business & Tax practice group, respectively. 

Practicing in the firm’s Lansing office, Nelson joined Foster Swift in 2018, participating in the summer associate program and returned in 2019 after graduating from Michigan State University’s College of Law.  

She was elected as a firm shareholder in January 2026. She works with clients on general estate planning matters, estate and gift tax planning, estate and trust administration, and international estate planning.

Zahrt joins attorney Taylor Gast as co-leader of the business & tax group. As a business and estate planning attorney in Grand Rapids, his areas of practice focus on business formations and transactions, business and farm succession planning, estate planning and administration and matters in agri-business. 

Zahrt is the former leader of the Agribusiness sub-practice group and was also in the summer associate program prior to graduating summa cum laude from MSU College of Law.
