Megan Pyle

Zeeland Public Schools
Zeeland West High School sophomore Megan Pyle has been selected to perform in the 2025-26 Michigan School Vocal Music Association All-State Honors Choir.
Pyle is one of just 80 students across the state that were selected to the All-State choir. She is a member of the Zeeland Advanced Treble Ensemble.
Pyle earned her place in the All-State choir through a rigorous audition process that began last summer. In October, she submitted her audition video and was accepted into the Regional Honors Choir. Then in December, she learned four additional pieces, sang at the regional event, and successfully auditioned for the State Honors Choir.
Then in January, she learned four additional selections, rehearsed for three days in Grand Rapids and performed with the State Honors Choir.
Now, Pyle will prepare six new pieces for the All-State performance. She will rehearse for three days at Michigan State University and stay overnight with fellow All-State honorees before performing in East Lansing on May 9.
“All of our choirs do tremendous work in classes and at local concerts and festivals. Honors choir, though, is an opportunity for high-achieving students to challenge themselves and tackle more collaborative musical experiences,” high school vocal teacher Jonathan Van Eck said. “We’re so proud of Megan for the work that she has put in on her own and for everything she has accomplished this year.”
